What is Included |

The following items are available for your use:

* Pots, Pans, Frying Pans, Dishes, Utensils, Cutlery

* Microwave, Fridge, Stove, Barbeque, Coffee Maker & Filters

* Electric kettle

* Matches, Garbage Bags, Dish Soap / Cleaning Supplies

* Picnic Table

* T.V. with only one channel BUT you can rent movies in the local video store because there is a DVD Player

* Radio

* Indoor 3 piece Bath - Outdoor Shower House

* Paddle Boat

* Fire Wood

* Horseshoes - Horseshoe poles are in the beach and the shoes can be found hanging in the boat house on the left hand side when you walk in the front large door.

* Uno, Skipbo and a Card Deck (Be sure to bring your favorite board games!)

What to Bring |

You will need the following items:

* Toilet Paper

* Kleenex

* Paper towels

* Serviettes

* Saran Wrap / Foil

* Lawn Chairs (There are 4 outdoor chairs provided)

* Bath towels, Washcloths, Tea towels, Dishcloths

*Bedding: Pillow, Sheet and Blankets


Beds at the cottage - Number and Sizes:

2 Queen, 2 singles, 1 Double Pull Out Couch, 1 Double Murphy Bed.


* Don't forget your fishing poles, sand toys, Smore supplies and Bug Spray!

Important Notes |

Cottager Responsibilities:

- Please sweep/vacuum and wash the floors and sinks before you leave.

- Be sure to remove all garbage before leaving (from both within the cottage and from outside, depositing it in the garbage area at the end of the road)
* Suggestion: bring garbage pail in from outside at night as to avoid critters digging through your trash.

View Larger Map DIRECTIONS | Directions: - 401 East to Belleville - 62 North from Belleville - 30 minutes of travel from the 401 to the cottage - # 246 Blakely Lane - Right off the 62 - Blakely Lane is the next road after Quim-Mo-Lac / Preston Road - When you see is a sharp bend to the right and a slight downward grade slow down as our lane is just past the bend on left.

Centre Hastings Park - 7 mins from the cottage
An amazing park right in Madoc that features a splash pad, large skate and bike park, as well as a large playground for kids.


O'Hara Mills - 15 mins from the cottage
Enjoy a wonderful experience while exploring the 85 acre park which includes pioneer buildings, beautiful gardens, nature trails, sheltered picnic areas and a charming mill pond.

Reids Dairy - 45mins from the cottage
Visit the Dairy Castle in Belleville for some great ice cream. View the factory at work through a window in the ice cream parlor.

Golf| West Highland Golf Course - Madoc ON - 10mins from the cottage
177 Atkinson Rd, Madoc, K0K 2K0. Twelve-hole golf course, ProShop, and licensed Club House.


Waterfront Bike Trail - 45mins from the cottage
Bike, walk or roller blade along the Bay of Quinte on an asphalt trail and enjoy the views of the bridge, harbour and bay front. Park at West Zwick's Island Park in Belleville. This park also has a kiddie pool and playground.


Swimming Pool - 10mins from the cottage

Below are several places nearby that you could take a day trip to.

Bon Echo - 1hr from the cottage
Take a ferry ride or rent a canoe to see the large rock face and enjoy the beauty of Bon Echo.

Lake On A Mountain - 1.5hrs from the cottage
Discover one of Ontario’s natural wonders …
at Lake on the Mountain Park. Cloaked in mystery and legend, the turquoise lake is a source of amazement and a beautiful setting for activities in the park.

Sandbanks Provincial Park - 1.5hrs from the cottage
Giant sand dunes and golden beaches form two of the largest freshwater baymouth sandbars in the world here, on the shores of Lake Ontario.


Stoco Lake Tweed ON - 30mins from the cottage
Take the boat and a picnic for a day of fishing on a near by lake.

Callaghan's Rapids - 40mins from the cottage
Callaghan's Rapids features two falls which are about one metre in height, each spanning the entire width of the river, which is about forty to sixty metres across. When river flows are low enough, you can walk out and explore the river bed.

Crowe Lake - Marmora ON - 40mins from the cottage
Take your boat and picnic lunch for a day on Crowe Lake - Launch your boat for $10.00 at Booster Park - 199 Booster Park Rd. Marmora ON


Crowe Bridge Conservation Park - 40mins from the cottage
The weir dam located in the Crowe River creates a wonderful swimming area with peaceful picnicking spaces and hiking trails that have been enjoyed by people from all over the world.


Warsaw Caves and Selwyn Beach - 1.5hrs from the cottage
The caves were formed thousands of years ago at the end of the last ice age by the rushing melt waters of a glacier that covered Ontario. All you need is a flashlight or a headlamp to enjoy this natural underground jungle gym. 15kms of hiking trails as well as picnic areas, canoe rental ($8.50 for 2/hrs), fishing and swimming. $10.00 for a vehicle day pass.


The "Gut" Conservation Area - 1hr 45mins from the cottage
The Gut waterfall is located in the Crowe Valley South of Bancroft, Ontario. This Conservation Area features walking trials, a parking lot, a look out area and a stairway down to the gorge. The "Gut". This park is located approximately 11 kilometers from Apsley on concession 1 in Lake Township.
